Simon Barrett is the founder of The Chilli Jam Man: an award-winning artisan producer based in Yorkshire, best known for its fiery, flavour-packed chilli jams, sauces, and sweet treats. Since its launch in 2009, the brand has grown in popularity across the UK, supplying both independent retailers and major stockists with bold, handcrafted products.
The Chilli Jam Man was approached by Labelnet’s sales rep, Richard Baldwin, over 15 years ago in 2009. Rich offered them a personalised service, which included bringing in design help where necessary and offering his knowledge about the label products that were needed to help them from start to finish.
As demand grew, they needed a more efficient solution to support their production. We helped them transition to high-quality roll-fed labels, improving their workflow and helping to scale the business. Over the years, we’ve worked with them on seasonal campaigns, new product launches, and packaging enhancements, building a strong and trusted working relationship.
In 2025, the business underwent a major rebrand, aiming to give its entire range a fresh and modern look while maintaining the bold, punchy visual identity it’s known for. The team needed a print partner who could ensure colour consistency, quality finishes, and timely delivery across dozens of SKUs.
The rebrand presented several key challenges. First, The Chilli Jam Man needed to roll out the new look across a wide product range without disrupting production or supply. Achieving vibrant, high-impact colours—particularly when printing on silver substrates—was essential to maintain the bold aesthetic. On top of that, tight retail and promotional deadlines meant there was no room for delay, so reliable turnaround times were crucial.
